The Myeloid Activation Analysis Cocktail rapidly discriminates between viral and bacterial infections in a single test by examining CD169 on monocytes and CD64 on neutrophils, respectively. It is optimized for use with a simplified no wash staining protocol and requires little to no compensation for data analysis.

Human peripheral blood leukocytes were stimulated with 1 µg/mL of IFN-γ to mimic a bacterial infection (right), stimulated with 1 µg/mL of IFN-α2 to mimic a viral infection (middle) or left unstimulated (left) for 20 hours at 37°C. Cells were then stained with Myeloid Activation Analysis Cocktail. CD64⁺ cells are shown in the gated population.
