IHC staining of DNER was performed on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human cerebellum tissue following antigen retrieval using 1X Tris-EDTA pH 9.0 Antigen Retrieval Buffer (Cat. No. 422704). The tissue sections were incubated with Alexa Fluor® 647 secondary antibody only (panel A) or with anti-DNER (clone W23166E) (panel B). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Cat. No. 422801) (overlay in panel B). Scale Bar: 50 µm

Description

DNER is a type I transmembrane protein primarily expressed in the nervous system. First identified as a non-canonical Notch ligand, DNER plays a crucial role in neuronal differentiation. DNER is particularly involved in neuron-glial interactions, and abnormalities in DNER function have been associated with neurological disorders and impaired brain development. DNER is expressed in many tissue types and plays a role in a variety of diseases such as COPD, periodontitis, and breast cancer.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical staining. For immunohistochemistry, a concentration range of 1.0 - 10.0 µg/mL is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Additional Product Notes

For use in immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (IHC-P), it is recommended to perform antigen retrieval using either Citrate Buffer, 10X (Cat. No. 420902) or Tris-EDTA pH 9.0 Antigen Retrieval Buffer (10X) (Cat. No. 422704).

This product is not recommended for use in Western blot (WB), flow cytometry (FC), intracellular flow cytometry (ICFC) or immunocytochemistry (ICC).
