Description

The HA epitope tag is a nine-amino acid peptide sequence (YPYDVPDYA) derived from the human influenza virus hemagglutinin surface glycoprotein (residues 98-106). This well-characterized immunological tag has become an indispensable tool in protein biochemistry and cell biology research due to its exceptional versatility and reliability.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 1 µg/mL (1:1000 dilution). For immunoprecipitation, the suggested use of this reagent is 1:150 dilution. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

*BioLegend’s Recombinant Posi-Tag Epitope Tag Protein (Cat. No. 931301) can be used as a helpful positive control for this antibody in western blot.

This antibody recognizes the same hemagglutinin flu epitope YPYDVPDYA as the monoclonal antibody, HA.11 clone 16B12. This polyclonal antibody facilitates epitope tag experiments in murine systems and is useful in experiments involving two proteins labeled with two different tags.

This product may contain other non-IgG subtypes.
